#1320 - The bleeding heart of the Amazon

Sobre: The Amazon jungle is home to millions of animal species and with such a rich biodiversity that it becomes the origin and balance of the world as we know it. The Amazon River and its tributaries nourish the rest of the jungle and its inhabitants. However, deforestation is destroying this ancient balance. In the Guarani cosmogony and for the Amazon, the jaguar is the great protective god, the one in charge of maintaining this balance. I chose to represent the pain and damage caused by the mishandling of human activity on the body of the jaguar. We see how rivers are born from his eyes that bathe half of his body populated by trees, clean waters and nature, to go down towards the tail and meet a ring of fire and deforestation that destroyed everything in its path. It is the story of the struggle of the Amazon represented on the skin of the jaguar.
